PROJECT 1

Marker and Pencil Renderisngs

DESCRIPTION
Our early architectural training is intended to develop an understanding of plan and section and the interrelation of spatial relationships. To this point, most of our design work is illustrated by the two-dimensional, black and white drawings that we produce.

Adding color to our drawings dramatically expands our ability to represent the character of a design. All of the materials we use in construction can be rendered to add realism and scale.

Project 1 will proceed in two parts. During Part One, you will render the one of the supplied drawings from Thursday's class using prisma-color pencil. In Part Two, you will render the same elevation with marker on vellum.
